The Match Game Hollywood Squares Hour was a revival of two classic game shows. Gene Rayburn hosted the Match Game half while Jon (Bowzer) Bauman hosted the Hollywood Squares half. The first half of the show featured Match Game and the winner of Match Game went on to play Hollywood Squares to face the current champion. The winner of Hollywood Squares played the Super Match which could pay off over $30,000! Jon Bauman would be a panelist during Match Game while Gene Rayburn sat in during the Hollywood Squares part.
Two contestants had three tries to match as many of the six celebrities. The contestant with the highest score after the three rounds would go on to play Hollywood Squares.
After three round of play, this contestant won 5 to 4 and would go one to play Hollywood Squares. So it is time to add on to the set.
Here comes the rest of the set. It is time to play Hollywood Squares. Time to add three more celebrities. There were only 6 in Match Game, but in Hollywood Squares there were 9 celebrities. Gene Wood, introduce the 3 new stars!
