Here is Alex Trebek with the first 2 contestants on Classic Concentration. In a few moments, one of the contestants will beat the odds, and it took place on NBC-TV on May 4, 1987. For the very first time on the internet, you will now be able to see pictures from the very "WILD" premiere. DAVID PICKS NUMBER 4

A 3RD WILD CARD! WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF THAT?

DAVID WINS ANOTHER $500 No more WILD cards though, David picks again and he picked number 18.
The other heart charm was behind number 7.
MANY PIECES ARE REMOVED FROM THE PUZZLE. David did not win the game, but he did amaze us with those 3 wild cards. Diana would go on to the bonus round and try to win a car at the base time of 35 seconds. Russ, her next challenger, would go on to win the second game in an interrupted match. An interrupted match occured when time ran out during the main game and pieces of the puzzle, one at a time in order, were revealed. The first contestant to ring in with the correct answer won the game. Russ failed to win a car with 40 seconds on the clock. In the bonus round, 5 seconds were added to the clock each time a contestant failed to win a car. Russ and Diana would face off again on May 5, 1987. |
